Quennell Rothschild & Partners is the campus-wide landscape planning and design consultant, directing many new construction and renovation projects throughout the 6,900-acre campus.

The firm's master plan for the Historic Campus, to be implemented over the next five years, will restore and improve the University's oldest landscapes, first developed in 1746. Comprising more than 17 acres, the Historic Campus includes academic and administrative buildings, dormitories, and some of Princeton's most significant open spaces. The Front Campus, surrounding Nassau Hall, is the site of Princeton's annual commencement exercises attracting over 10,000 students, faculty, and visitors.

Recent campus projects include Scudder Plaza, the redevelopment of the 25,000 square foot forecourt of the Woodrow Wilson School of Public and International Affairs; the development of a new "greensward" system of paths and open spaces connecting residential and academic parts of the campus; the coordination of a new campus-wide signage system (with Jon Roll & Associates); the creation of a campus-wide tree survey and evaluation (with Paul Cowie & Associates); and the development of standards for site furnishings and materials.

In addition, the firm serves as landscape architect for all new building developments on campus, collaborating with the project architect for each project. These include the Genomics Institute (with Rafael Viñoly), the Humanities Center (with Schwartz & Silver), a new dormitory (with Michael Dennis), the Marquand Art Library (with Shepley Bulfinch Richardson & Abbott), and Robertson Hall (with Ford Farewell Mills & Gatsch).
