PROJECT MANAGER

Originally from southwest Colorado, Adel grew up close to nature, trail riding horses and running cross country through national forests, which instilled a deep appreciation for how our natural surroundings shape our sense of self. She is passionate about creating comforting and enjoyable public spaces that bring people together and finding thoughtful, seemingly simple solutions to complex sites. Adel has worked on projects at many scales, ranging from waterfronts, urban plazas, and parks to greenways, bike parks, and private residences in collaboration with site artists. Adel graduated summa cum laude with a Bachelor of Landscape Architecture degree from the University of Arkansas, Fay Jones School of Architecture + Design where she is now a member of their Professional Advisory Board.

PARTNER

Alison brings a strong technical knowledge and attention to detail to all her projects, and guides innovative design ideas to technically feasible solutions. Her landscape designs seek to create socially inclusive spaces that help to strengthen communities. With over 40 years of experience, her work has grown from an early focus on restorations of historic parks to projects involving complex environmental issues and community involvement. Alison has led many of QRP's projects for NYC Parks, where her designs have upgraded under-served urban neighborhood parks with fresh and exciting actively programmed green spaces. Recent projects also include several waterfront sites with complex regulatory requirements, including a new 14 acre beachfront park in Far Rockaway, where she transformed large parking lots into green hills, sports fields and play areas, and new parks on Jamaica Bay and the Bronx waterfront. In collaboration with the artist George Trakas, she designed the award-winning Newtown Creek Nature Walk, a richly planted public waterfront around a Brooklyn water treatment plant. Alison was born and educated in the UK and after receiving a degree in Landscape Architecture from Gloucestershire College of Art & Design she worked in England, the San Francisco Bay Area, and Charleston, SC, but for the past 40 years has made New York City her home. She is a Professional Landscape Architect in NY and a WEDG Associate.

PARTNER

Andrew has contributed designs for many of QRP's most notable projects, including the master plan for Hudson River Park, multiple projects on the campus of Princeton University, The Central Park Children's Zoo, many historic restorations, and residences in New York, Florida, and Connecticut. His technical expertise and sensitivity to design have enabled successful collaborations with architects, artists and other designers. At Princeton University, he worked on the Science Library with Frank Gehry, and the Lewis-Sigler Institute for Integrative Genomics with Rafael Vinoly. Artist collaborations include an expansive private residence in East Hampton and a new overlook garden at Lyndhurst Castle in Tarrytown with artist Paula Hayes, and a roof top installation for the Woodner Foundation in Manhattan with Monika Gryzmala. Andrew has had a long and successful collaboration with architect Toshiko Mori: together, they designed six private residences; the Visitor's Center for Poe Cottage in the Bronx; and the Greatbatch Pavilion for Frank Lloyd Wright's Darwin Martin House in Buffalo, NY. He has taught at Parsons New School of Design, at the University of Pennsylvania, and at a summer program in Beacon, NY for Washington University. Mr. Moore is a graduate of the University of Oregon and a Professional Landscape Architect in New York State and the State of New Jersey, and is a member of the American Society of Landscape Architects.

PARTNER

Beth has a keen appreciation for the natural world and brings the responsibility for the preservation of natural features and systems to the development of every open space. She excels at translating ideas into form, building consensus, navigating public and approval processes and shepherding projects through construction. She is adept at balancing the needs of multiple stakeholders and leading large design teams through complex long-term projects. Beth's body of work includes some of the firm's most notable open space projects including The Reconstruction of The Battery in Lower Manhattan, Columbia University Irving Medical Center's Haven Plaza, and the Destination: Greenways! Brooklyn & Queens Conceptual Plan that creates 21 additional miles of greenway in two boroughs, as well as the award winning Village of Patchogue's Shorefront Shoreline, the first permitted living shoreline project on Long Island. Beth holds a Master of Landscape Architecture from the University of Georgia School of Environmental Design, an Associate of Applied Science in Ornamental Horticulture from S.U.N.Y Farmingdale and a Bachelor of Science from Ohio University. She is a Professional Landscape Architect in NY and a WEDG Associate.

LANDSCAPE DESIGNER

Claire is a Landscape Designer interested in creating public spaces that are thoughtful, accessible, and connected to the people who use them. She brings an architectural background to landscape design, with a strong sense of structure, scale, and detail. Her work focuses on translating complex site conditions into clear, buildable ideas that respond to context and everyday experience. Claire has worked on a range of public realm and landscape projects as well as parks, waterfronts, cemeteries, playgrounds, and resort landscapes. Her experience spans design studies, planting and material studies, grading coordination, and construction documentation. She also has commercial construction management experience from her previous work on the Baha Mar landscape construction project in the Bahamas. Claire holds a Master of Landscape Architecture from Auburn University and a Bachelor of Architecture from Qingdao Technological University.

PROJECT MANAGER

Crystal has experience in a range of projects that include urban parks, playgrounds, waterfronts, and landscapes for higher education and civic institutions. She bridges architecture, engineering, and landscape design to create cohesive, unified, buildable project designs. Crystal brings a background in fine arts and urban studies. She uses her well-developed graphic skills to facilitate community participation in the design process and clearly communicate the firms' vision to clients and collaborators. Crystal holds a Masters of Landscape Architecture from City College of New York, and a Bachelors of Environmental Art and Design from Guangzhou Academy of Fine Arts. She is a Professional Landscape Architect, a member of ASLA and active in the ASLA NY Chapter as co-chair of the DEI Committee.

LANDSCAPE DESIGNER

Hyemin has worked on healthcare facilities, campus landscapes, transit-oriented and master planning projects. She excels in graphic presentations, 3D modeling and team coordination during all phases of project design. She has been recognized in international design competitions, notably winning first place with her team in the International Young Architect Competition. She is driven by the complex puzzle of the modern city, focusing on the creation of high-quality public space and residential landscapes. Hyemin holds a Master of Landscape Architecture from Harvard Graduate School of Design, a Master of Landscape Architecture from the Department of Landscape Architecture and Rural System Engineering, College of Agriculture and Life Sciences, Seoul National University, and a Bachelor of Landscape Architecture from the College of Agriculture, Kyungpook National University.

Mark has built a reputation for thoughtful design of public places including parks, streetscapes and campus landscapes. His work focuses on enhancing sense of place, strengthening social fabric, and preserving ecologically sensitive and historic landscapes. Environmental stewardship has been a touchstone of his work. Mark brings creativity and technical expertise to every project. His ability to collaborate with others — including engineers, architects, and artists — has contributed to his success leading numerous technically complex projects involving large multidisciplinary teams. Among a broad range of projects completed locally and around the country, notable work includes collaborative public art projects such as Rosa Parks Circle in Grand Rapids designed with artist Maya Lin; Frederick Douglass Circle, designed with artist Algernon Miller; and Harriet Tubman Plaza with artist Alison Saar. Among notable public plaza and streetscape projects are Pershing Square in Manhattan and Fowler Square in Brooklyn. His public park design projects include several parks and playgrounds in New York City, most recently including reconstruction of a two-block portion of Sara D. Roosevelt Park. His campus work includes design of Grabois Quadrangle and Arts Walk at Colgate University, as well as several projects at both Sarah Lawrence College and Trinity College that have dramatically transformed those campuses. Notable adaptive restoration projects include Central Park's northwest gate, Fountain of the Fairs at Flushing Meadows Corona Park in Queens, and the Lion House at the Bronx Zoo. His rooftop projects include the Statue of Liberty Museum, John Jay College Commons, and NYU Langone Medical Center Tisch Courtyard. He has also provided landscape design for several ports of entry along the Canadian border in New York, Vermont, and Maine. Mr. Bunnell is a magna cum laude graduate of the University of Oregon and a Professional Landscape Architect. He has lectured on the subject of sustainable site design for a variety of institutions. For the past 25 years, he has taught courses in Landscape Design History for the New York Botanical Garden.

PARTNER

Nate channels his roots in environmental and social activism into his work as a Landscape Architect. He sees landscapes as a continuum of habitats, from urban plazas and recreation-focused neighborhood parks where the needs of people primarily drive the design, to waterfronts and natural areas where ecological processes are foregrounded. Nate specializes in designing resilient waterfronts that actively support biodiversity, managing projects such as Ferry Point Park, Bay Breeze Park and Academy Street and North Cove Parks. He has extensive knowledge of native plants and ecosystem dynamics that he applies to his designs, and he is adept at integrating ecological restoration with recreational programming. He has a background in public engagement, serving for seven years as Director of Outreach at NYC Parks. Truly listening to communities and integrating their feedback into designs is foundational to his approach. He is involved in all phases of project design, documentation and construction oversight. Nate has completed many NYC projects for public agencies and is very familiar with the regulations and approvals required. As a dedicated team leader he has successfully coordinated large teams of sub-consultants, clients and stakeholders. Nate received his Master of Landscape Architecture degree from the City College of New York and a Bachelor of Arts in Environmental Studies from New York University. He is a Professional Landscape Architect in NY and a WEDG Associate.

LANDSCAPE DESIGNER

Raena grew up around the Landscape Architecture program at the University of Maryland, College Park, which instilled in her a love for designing urban spaces. Her goal on every project is to improve the local environment and strengthen people’s connections to place.

Raena has contributed to a diverse range of project including public parks, bikeways, waterfront restoration, and historic preservation. She is experienced in all phases of the design process including site analysis, planting design, visualization, grading coordination, and construction documentation. She has worked extensively on projects for NYC Parks and other public-sector clients, navigating agency requirements and coordinating design team activities throughout the project.

Raena earned a Bachelor of Arts in Landscape Architecture from the University of Maryland, College Park, where she periodically serves as a guest juror for undergraduate and graduate project presentations.

ASSOCIATE

With over twelve years of professional experience in design, Rucha is a well-rounded design professional who brings interdisciplinary skills in landscape architecture, sustainable design, architecture, urban design and planning. She enjoys creating places that resonate with communities and landscapes that are true to their environments. With a strong commitment to creativity and pragmatic problem solving, Rucha navigates all phases of a project effortlessly. From neighborhood parks, plazas and playgrounds to large scale waterfront parks and community master plans, Rucha is adept at working on diverse projects at varying scales and complexities and managing multidisciplinary teams. A Professional Landscape Architect in the State of New York and a LEED accredited professional, Rucha is a cum laude graduate of Hunter College, CUNY where she received a master's degree in urban planning. She also holds a master's degree in sustainable architecture from Kansas State University and a bachelor's degree in architecture from University of Mumbai.

PROJECT MANAGER

Sungjun's work focuses on urban parks, playgrounds, waterfronts, and landscapes for historic preservation. He is interested in spaces which instill a sense of stewardship for the everyday user. He enjoys problem solving and uses his analytical skills to anticipate and resolve issues that arise in design and construction. With his organizational skills, he facilitates interagency coordination to ensure fluid progression in various permits required for the project. Sungjun holds a Master of Landscape Architecture from the Bernard and Anne Spitzer School of Architecture, the City College of New York. Prior to entering the field of Landscape Architecture, he completed his Bachelor of Business Administration at Baruch College.

LANDSCAPE DESIGNER

Tianqi brings creativity and precision to her work on educational and cultural institutions, private developments, and public playgrounds as well as experience with community engagement. She excels at close collaboration with design team members, clients and municipal agencies. She is driven to create welcoming, accessible outdoor spaces that honor local culture and ecology through climate-adapted design and thoughtful plant selection. Tianqi holds a Master of Landscape Architecture from the Rhode Island School of Design and a B.E. in Landscape Architecture from Tianjin Chengjian University.
