Rouses Point Land Port of Entry

For this port-of-entry at the Canadian border, QRP's landscape design focused on minimizing disturbance to the surrounding existing wetland while accommodating functional requirements of the Port. Disturbed portions of the landscape were planted with a native meadow seed mix tailored to local pollinator species. Also selected from native species, new tree plantings provide perches and nesting for bird species. While complementing the surrounding wetland, the landscape design emphasizes simplicity to limit visual distraction and facilitate surveillance.
