Shorefront Park Shoreline
As part of a village-wide parks master planning process for the Village of Patchogue, QRP led the preparation of a master plan for the 25-acre Shorefront Park.
The project advances several policies of the Village’s Local Waterfront Revitalization Program (LWRP) to minimize loss from flooding and erosion, increase public waterfront access, enhance open space and recreational uses and to address sea-level rise and coastal protection. The plan features a living shoreline and continuous waterfront esplanade, new park entrances, seating, lighting, a kayak launch, and a series of mounded lawn areas for passive enjoyment and resiliency.
